Sooooo Busy!

It's been a while since my last post! Sorry just been crazy trying to regroup after the holidays. I have been really focusing on my business getting all of my online advertising and such in order.

I have actually been getting a lot of calls for estimates lately! Thank goodness cause I love to work just as much as I love to play!

Speaking of playing we did go to our friends birthday party over the weekend. Had a really good time, it was great hanging out with some of our friends. (Happy Birthday Randy)
Look for more post to come shortly.

Wishing all of you a wonderful Wednesday...L

Holidays!

Well seriously my holidays were crazy!

Christmas was different and didn't turn out the way I planned, but so in love with my husband and kids and really that's all that matters.

My poor hubby was working and his flights were all jacked up so he didn't make it home for Christmas morning 😩. So he got to celebrate the next day.

The kids all enjoyed the morning and loved all their gifts.

Later in the afternoon we went to my sisters house and WOW! When we got there my mother, sister and brother-in-law were fighting over food! Over food! Ugh

Then we open gifts. My mother is tossing all her stuff around and pouting and starts yelling all I wanted was a Keurig Coffee Maker. So I politely gathered up the kids and just went home. STUNNED

What do you ask...why don't I have my own reality TV show? (LOL) I'm not really sure but I totally need one!

Then we get to New Years. Well again my hubby had a schedule change and all the kids had plans so I decide to hop on a plane and meet him.

Well hopping on a plane on NYE is not so easy! I leave my house at 3 am to drive 3 hours to the airport. I'm rushing like I belong in the movie Home Alone trying not to miss my flight because I really need to get to San Francisco to make my connection to Seattle.

Once I get to the gate guess what my flight is delayed 5 hours. So I am going to miss my connection to Seattle for sure. I talk to my husband and we decide to cancel that flight and take a different airline. Now I have to go to a different terminal and get through security again.

Ok so let me tell you about security! I like an idiot wore a pair of jeans with jewels on the pokets not just the back but also the front. My shirt also had glitter on the sleeves and bottom part of the front. So needless to say I got felt up each time! Note to self no more jewels and glitter while flying.  I should totally listen to myself but I don't!

So finally I am on a flight to San Francisco. I'm like ok this is awesome I will make it there, my hubby will be waiting at the gate and we will have time for lunch before our flight to Seattle.

Once I land I turn on my phone and I get a text message that says "I have booked your flight". I'm thinking oh that must be from when my flight was changed earlier. I try to call my husband but there is no answer. I get another text message that says "hurry because you'll miss your flight".

I'm looking all over for my husband he isn't answering the phone, not answering my text and is not anywhere around. So I'm like ok I'll go out security and figure it out. I ask an employee how to get to the Virgin America area. I have to take a tram to a different terminal still thinking were in the world is my husband.

So while on the tram I get a few voicemails. One is from Willie I'm like ok thank goodness. Well his message is telling me that he got put on a flight to LA and he switched my Seattle flight to an LA flight. Here I'm thinking ok if I was going to LA I would have just gone from Orlando at a normal time....ugh

I made it to LA and found my hubby. It was a long, long day but totally worth it we had fun.

We celebrated NYE in Hermosa Beach to a big band style Frank Sinatra tribute band. They were good and we had lots of fun and met lots of new people!

New Years Day we went all around. We spent some time in Redondo Beach, went to Rodeo Drive, and went to Venice Beach!

Of course the flight home was delayed and changed but I finally made it home after getting felt up in security again! 😘

Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas
Happy New Years

My Neighborhood

I have to say I live in the best neighborhood. Last night Santa and Mrs. Clause came by and took not only the kids for a ride in their sleigh but the adults too. We sang Christmas carols and it even snowed (it was like 75 degrees but how cute)! The neighbors had an entire display of goodies for everyone...I brought sugar cookies with sprinkles and peanut butter cookies. Which reminds me I need to get my Santa platter back 😉. Such a great time!

So let me tell you about what happen when I got home today.

I get out of my car and I get the mail. I'm walking back into the garage and I hear someone calling my name. Who is it you wonder....we'll let me tell you! It's the sweetest couple that lives across the street from me. I walk over and he is holding a homemade pecan pie for us and a Christmas card. It even has homemade crust which is so amazing. Not only was this so darn sweet but to make it even more awesome the pie was warm....melt my heart why don't you!

Love Christmas!

Wishing all of you a wonderful Tuesday evening! L

Just Chillin on a Sunday

It's almost Christmas just a few days now. I'm loving the neighborhood decorations and even though it's warm we do our best around these parts to get in the spirit of the season! Tomorrow Santa will be in the neighborhood to see all the kids! I will let you know how that goes!

The above photo are the cutest little gifts for co-workers etc.

To make:

Gather materials. You will need...
Candy canes
Hersey Kisses
Fudge coated mint Oreo cookies
Colored Saran wrap
Small bottles of hand sanitizer (I like the ones from Bath and Body a Works)
And some Raffia

To assemble:
1.) Roll out 2 pieces of Saran Wrap about 3 or 4 inches each.
2.) put 2 cookies in 1 piece of Saran Wrap gather together and tie with small piece of Raffia
3.) repeat #2 but use 4 Hersey Kisses instead of cookies,
4.) cut a longer piece of Raffia roughly the length from your wrist to elbow.
5.) gather together all pieces including candy cane and hand sanitizer and secure neatly with a piece of Raffia.
Attach to card or just hand out.
Cute...easy...and inexpensive!

Wishing all of you a wonderful Sunday evening! L
