My Neighborhood

I have to say I live in the best neighborhood. Last night Santa and Mrs. Clause came by and took not only the kids for a ride in their sleigh but the adults too. We sang Christmas carols and it even snowed (it was like 75 degrees but how cute)! The neighbors had an entire display of goodies for everyone...I brought sugar cookies with sprinkles and peanut butter cookies. Which reminds me I need to get my Santa platter back 😉. Such a great time!

So let me tell you about what happen when I got home today.

I get out of my car and I get the mail. I'm walking back into the garage and I hear someone calling my name. Who is it you wonder....we'll let me tell you! It's the sweetest couple that lives across the street from me. I walk over and he is holding a homemade pecan pie for us and a Christmas card. It even has homemade crust which is so amazing. Not only was this so darn sweet but to make it even more awesome the pie was warm....melt my heart why don't you!

Love Christmas!

Wishing all of you a wonderful Tuesday evening! L

Just Chillin on a Sunday

It's almost Christmas just a few days now. I'm loving the neighborhood decorations and even though it's warm we do our best around these parts to get in the spirit of the season! Tomorrow Santa will be in the neighborhood to see all the kids! I will let you know how that goes!

The above photo are the cutest little gifts for co-workers etc.

To make:

Gather materials. You will need...
Candy canes
Hersey Kisses
Fudge coated mint Oreo cookies
Colored Saran wrap
Small bottles of hand sanitizer (I like the ones from Bath and Body a Works)
And some Raffia

To assemble:
1.) Roll out 2 pieces of Saran Wrap about 3 or 4 inches each.
2.) put 2 cookies in 1 piece of Saran Wrap gather together and tie with small piece of Raffia
3.) repeat #2 but use 4 Hersey Kisses instead of cookies,
4.) cut a longer piece of Raffia roughly the length from your wrist to elbow.
5.) gather together all pieces including candy cane and hand sanitizer and secure neatly with a piece of Raffia.
Attach to card or just hand out.
Cute...easy...and inexpensive!

Wishing all of you a wonderful Sunday evening! L
